3 Ways To Style a Bottle

One of the most challenging thing in a product photography styling is to come up with a new styling idea every single time. For example, you have a bottle with a skincare product and you need 10 different shots if it. I know what you are thinking: “TEN!!! How I will create ten different styling for one bottle?”

To help you out i will show you my TOP 3 WAYS TO STYLE A SKINCARE BOTTLE. I will be using some of the shots I did for Nairobi Naivasha in Spring 2021 for their Liquid Black Soap.

  1. WATER FLATLAY

Tired of an old boring flat-lays? Try to level-up your flatly with some textures or water!

I styled this shot using my trusty Pyrex dish, which I filled up with water and added floating textured acrylic piece.

I’ve completed the shot with some greens and raw ingredients to highlight product’s natural properties.

2. LEVITATION SHOT

It takes a bit more time and editing skills but is so worth it!

It doesn’t need to be complicated, a few natural props are just enough to make the bottle ‘pop’.

3. HIGHLIGHTING PRODUCTS TEXTURE

It’s always a good idea to showcase the product textures in your imagery. they make the shot more interesting and give your customers an insight on your products.

Here I’ve created an illusion of a product overspilling from the bottle to highlight product’s texture.
